Our work in Eurasia
The Eurasia region combines two areas: Central Asia and Eastern Europe. The region has struggled tremendously since the fall of communism in 1989. Health care and other social services that were once free to everyone under communist rule, are now available only to people who can afford them. We partner with local government and non-governmental agencies to improve the quality of health care services available in Afghanistan, Moldova, Romania and Uzbekistan.

Teams and Shipments
We'll send 24 volunteer teams to the Eurasia region this year. We also plan to ship an estimated $32 million in medical supplies and equipment to understocked hospitals and clinics.
